"Daddy, this song must be good it's #100." Ah, the innocent words uttered by a child who has a penchant for music. Writing "success" followed with the publication of my grade 1 report on the cockatoo in the school's newsletter, circa 1989.
The writing was put on the backburner for a while, but I would still discuss the happenings at gigs to anyone within earshot who would feign interest.
That was the pathway that led to writing for this wonderful establishment. Words are important but I'm quick to agree that "One always has a better book in one's mind than one can manage to get onto paper."
Besides, "Every fool believes what you tell them, happiness in being dumb." Comments? Let me know and I'll play the fool and believe you.
I know I'll never be "The mime artiste too clever for words" but, "I'd like to thank you all on behalf of myself and the group and I hope I passed the audition."
