Local darlings,Birds of Tokyo beat John Butler Trio, The Panics and Red Jezebel to take Most Popular Album, and Best Rock Act Awards, whilst The Panics prevailed over local veterans Eskimo Joe as well as Sugar Army to take the Most Popular Act Award.

Industry award, Most Promising New Act went to Abbe May and the Rockin Pneumonia, and the WA public voted Harlequin League the Favourite Newcomer.

Karnivool scored 2 awards; Most Popular Live Act and_ Best Hard Rock/Metal Act_, and of course Pendulum took the Best Electronic Producer WAMi.

RTRFM was honoured for their contribution to the WA music industry, with the Media Organisation Award, and Individual Media Award going to Dave Cutbush, and the Golden WAMi going to Peter Barr.

As always, the WAMi Festival celebrates a huge year for WA Music, and promises even bigger things in store for the year ahead.
