Perth’s biggest names will line up as we get ready to celebrate the best our local music scene has to offer.

Kickoff is just two weeks away, and it all starts with a free all-ages gig at Forrest Place on Friday February 15 featuring Bob Evans and Abbe May and the Rockin’ Pneumonia. The opening night festivities continue at Amplifier as The Stems and Day of the Dead hit the stage.

On Saturday the 16th there are EP launches for Kill Teen Angst (Amplifier) and The Meaning of (Capitol) while there’s plenty still to be announced at venues around the city.

Triple J’s Live at the Wireless will make its annual trek over to the west on Wednesday February 20, as The Panics, Red Jezebel and The Silents play at ABC’s Perth studios.

On Thursday February 21 there’s the WAMi Awards night, while the WAMi Music Business Conference gets going the next day, kicking on until Sunday the 24th.

Venues across Northbridge will host the famous Saturday Spectacular on the 23rd, with The Silents, The Bank Holidays, Streetlight, Grace Barbe, Mo Wilson and the Drivers, Stingray, Josh Fontaine and Jeff Strong all taking part.

Everything wraps up on Sunday February 24, when the long-awaited statue of ACDC legend Bon Scott is unveiled at the Aussie Rock Celebration Concert at Claremont Showgrounds. Marking the occasion, the Noiseworks, The Party Boys, Rose Tattoo and plenty more will rock the huge stage and bring a huge week of WA music to an end.
