While Halogen have been presented with countless opportunities to follow the myriad of Perth bands who have made the trek East, this intriguing quintet have seemingly found contentment in staying put.
Halogen's latest album is titled Sirens, in contrast to its melodic subtleties and relaxed grooves. It also happens to be a very satisfying listen.
From a band that is said to blur the distinction between pop and electronic in addition to cleverly avoiding clichés, comes Halogen`s intricately textured and emotional EP 'Baby`s Eyes'.
For Perth band Halogen to entrust 16 of their finest emotional rock tracks to 15 of Australia's most promising electronic producers to transform as their vision saw fit is a courageous move, but one that has produced a superb album.
